And, we are up and running! I have had a lot of fun working with my two oldest kiddos and creating this blog. Patrick (my 15 year old son) is the techy type and set the blog up. All the food photography is done by Brook Lynne (my 14 year old). I have enjoyed their company and appreciate their willingness to drop everything when I have an idea.
We have a new pick up day and time. Food pick up will take place at my home in Floresville every other Thursday beginning June 2. Because I am picking our produce up 2 hours earlier than usual, pick up time will be at noon. I am happy with these new, earlier hours now that the days are getting hotter. You will want to pick up your produce as early as you can to avoid wilt. If you have ordered lettuce or other greens, don’t forget to get them out of the white cooler. Because I am concerned about it getting too hot in the bins, eggs will be on the table under the carport.
Hopefully, I will have the order sheet printed out for you to check at pick up, meaning that I won’t have to check out every single person. My own sociable nature is doing me in! Not having me around has made pick up day tough on my kids. But, please, don’t hesitate to knock on the door if you need assistance.
Preferred payment method is either PayPal or personal check. You can bring cash if you want, but make sure I collect it myself and don’t leave it in the zipper bag.
Due to the Memorial Day holiday, dairy pick up will be Tuesday instead of our usual Monday. I do not have the pick up time yet. Dairy will be ordered using a Google Form (this is different from the Google Sheet we use to order everything else). I have already emailed all of you the link. If you haven’t received it, let me know. If you are new to ordering dairy products, please text me your email address and I will send the Google form to you. From this point forward, all communications regarding dairy will be done via text message or email.
Free range chicken is available again this drop. Prices are on the order form.
A new grassfed beef buy is in the works. You will be able to choose which specific cuts you want from the list of what I have available. Prices will be AMAZING! I do still have 20 lb. of grassfed ground beef from our last buy with 529 Meats available for $5/lb. If you are interested in any ground, text me or contact me via Facebook.
If all my kids remain well (we’ve had a tummy bug running through us this last couple of weeks), I plan to add some new items to the order form tomorrow. I am not entirely sure what they will be (I’m out of time to think about it today), but there will be something. I’m thinking maybe Dr. Bronner’s Soaps and a variety of organic pastas. I’m avoiding organic rice for now because my last two personal shipments have had bugs in them. Sheesh.
Click the link to order. Remember: your deposit must be equal or greater to the amount you are ordering. Orders are due by Sunday, May 29th.
