Boy, have I got a story for you! You’ll love it. Only it’s too long to be typed up in one blog post. And, the kids are wanting breakfast. And, we really should do school today, and double school at that. With that said, I’ll start here:
I walked at the park yesterday evening. That’s significant. I have needed to exercise for a long time. I have told myself throughout this pregnancy that I needed to add in deliberate exercise. I put it off.
I stepped on the scale last week and realized that I have gained 39 pounds so far this pregnancy. That wouldn’t be a big deal if I were close to being finished, but I’m not: I am 28 weeks. If you know me personally, you know that this isn’t my usual. I usually gain 30-40 pounds total. Hence the actual effort to walk last night.
Was I tired? Yes.
Will I go back today? Yes.
Do I want to? No. Well, sort of.
Was I unexpectedly blessed? Yes.
Six year old Daniel jogged beside me most of the way. When you have a house full of children, despite your best efforts, it really is tough to get in quality time every day with each and every one of them. I got quality time in with my Daniel while huffing an puffing down the walking trail at Pecan Park. His cute little grin as he jogged backwards in front of me had me cracking up! Be still my heart. That boy is going to be a heartbreaker some day!
I still have a long story to share with you. One about hardship and faith. Real Faith in a Real God that Really Does Things. I’m sad to say that I wavered this time. Not my belief in God. That’s solid. My faith in God wavered. I questioned what I thought I knew.
So, long story coming in the future and I promise to break it down into bite-sized pieces.
